Customized. Sustainable. Natural. Contemporary.

PHILOSOPHY
The spaces we build have great impact on our lives. They affect our mood, comfort, productivity, and well-being. I incorporate the theory of Universal Design, which is design for all people of any age or capability. We believe in respecting the history and character of architecture. We also use several principles of sustainable design, taking into consideration where materials are coming from, what they are made of, water and power efficiency. We seek to create design that is both functional, efficient, beautiful, and sustainable, spaces that work for the lifestyle of its inhabitants.
Most design solutions need nothing other than some creativity and a new perspective.

OWNER - DESIGNER
BACKGROUND
Kate Gaston, Owner
Kate Gaston obtained a Bachelor of Science in Design from Radford University's Interior Design Program in Virginia in 2007, concentrating specifically on sustainable design and historic preservation. She then made her way to Colorado to experience all the things the city of Denver and the Rocky Mountains have to offer and started gaining experience and knowledge in the design-build industry. She began working for a company designing model homes nationally and was later hired as a Design Consultant for Ethan Allen. In 2013, she moved to New Zealand, where she worked on alpaca and permaculture farms, hiked, worked at yoga and meditation retreats, helped restore a historic mansion, and lived off the land. Since moving back to Denver in 2014, Kate worked as a Bath and Kitchen Designer for Porcelanosa. In 2019, she opened Perspective Design+Build, LLC.
Inspired by travel, nature, historic architecture, modern movements, and culture, Kate is extremely grateful to use her creativity, knowledge, and experiences to help her clients visualize their space in a new way. Her goal is to listen to her clients' needs, visualize and communicate solutions, calculate everything needed to accomplish that design goal, and put everything in motion to see each project through to completion. She wants to create spaces that exceed all expectations.
